There is a large number of sites that offer well written accounts of many of the key aspects of doing quantitative studies in the social sciences. In terms of this course we have mapped them thus:

For folk with little stats background there is a number of good resources that introduce the main/key ideas are well written and clearly explained. A good instance of this is Gerard Dallal's The Little Handbook of Statistical Practice.
