Introduction to thinking

No. This is not at all to suggest that you can't think but to gently draw attention to some of the recent literature which examines thinking and some of the interesting patterns humans exhibit when they make judgements, decisions and choices. Think of this as something that might sit alongside your day-to-day mulling about your research work.

Rather, we hope that some of this material is useful in your deliberations. In some respects we hope they might contribute to your horizontal networks1 and help you think differently about the problems on which you are working.
